The Jobs Include
Running
After debates, score sheets need to be IMMEDIATELY delivered back to the score-keeping room. One of the most crucial jobs in the debate.
If you got speedy feet, this one's for you!
Setting Up
[Everyone does this]
- Friday after school
- Sunday [throughout]
Debates need a specific arrangement of tables, and therefore all 20 classrooms need to be properly arranged and fit for debating
Chairing
[Only on day 2]
During the debate, one needs to facilitate and timekeep the debate. This is especially important as the rounds with chairs [you] are quarters, semis and finals
Ushering
Most teams won't know their way around campus, and some teams will be roaming around to find a place to prep. Your top priority is making sure all teams get to their location on time.
Miscellaneous
Other jobs include:
* Registration of teams
* Management of teams during lunch break [and handing out of lunch boxes]
* Restocking rooms with necessary resources
* Keeping teams within allocated locations of the Science Terrace, Student Center Canteen and New Block
